Regular checkups provide you the opportunity to receive information regarding your oral health. This is why it is recommended that you schedule your checkups every six months. You also get the chance to learn about new procedures and treatments that may benefit your oral health and smile.
Choosing the right products for your smile is very important, from toothpaste to mouthwash to toothbrushes to dental floss. When shopping for oral health products, make sure to look for the ADA - or American Dental Association - approval sticker. Your dentist will also be able to recommend the right products to suit your individual needs.
Something to remember: At birth, humans already have 20 primary teeth, known as “baby teeth” that begin erupting after six months, and by the age of 12 there are no more baby teeth. All 32 permanent teeth will erupt by age 21!
